We - that is the organizing committee of STRC - have the pleasure to announce the call for abstracts for the 2012 Swiss Transport Research Conference (strc.ch).
The purpose of this conference is to act as a forum that brings together Swiss researchers adopting many different approaches to understanding transportation phenomena. As such, the conference hosts topics across a wide spectrum of investigation from research in transportation and land use, logistics and travel behaviour to traffic engineering and environmental impact analysis. Overall three keynote speakers will give in-depth insight into specific areas of their research (among them, and confirmed, will be Profs Harry Timmermans from Eindhoven University of Technology and Rolf Möhring from Technical University Berlin).
In the past the STRC has been an excellent venue to get caught up on the state of transportation research in Switzerland and this year will be no exception. As with other years, the conference will take place at Monte Verità, Ascona (Ticino) at the Centro Stefano Franscini of ETH Zurich: an excellent conference center, and ideal environment in which to get caught up with old friends.
To submit a paper, please prepare an abstract/short paper concept of no more than 1 page with a standard text processor, and submit it to the chair of the conference, christian.laesser@unisg.ch. Deadline for the submission is 31 December 2011. You will be notified upon acceptance or rejection by the end of January 2012.
Should you know of anyone who would be interested in the conference, please feel free to forward this announcement along to them. Thanks for that cooperation.
